Where to find photos from the Civil War 1918?

I am a Norwegian freelance journalist writing primarily military and history topics. The magazine I write for plans a series of articles through 2017 about Finland and Finnish history. I am looking for photos taken by the leader of the Norwegian voluntary ambulance corps who participated in the 1918 Civil War. His name is Harald Natvig. After the war he published the photos in a book which was sold for the purpose of helping wounded veterans. I saw a copy of the book in Vaprikki museum in Tampere this summer. I have found a few of his photos at SA-KUVA and Wikimedia, but would appreciate if your museum could help point me in the right direction to find high resolution copies of additional photos.

Intresting topics you have! It seems that there are only some single prints of Natvigs photos in Finland in some collections: National board of Antiquities (Museovirasto, check www.kuvakokoelmat.fi, finna.fi), War Museum (Sota museum), Otavamedia (publisher´s archive). Negatives has never been in Finland but maybe in the archive of Red Cross, perhaps in Norway.

Best printed photos are in the book "Vapaussota kuvissa", that the Finnish Museum of Photography has in its library. Our museum has also the book you have seen in Vapriikki.

All this information has been provided for us by Jukka Kukkonen, our retired curator.
